Barbara Chapman
Artist member since 2020
Oakville, Ontario
Born on the eastern edge of Canada, Barbara is influenced by the world we live in; coast-lines, plant-life, the ever changing light and atmosphere. Her inspiration comes from land, water and growing things. Initially self-taught, she has continued her studies of art and art history at both Sheridan College and the University of Toronto. Studio work includes painting, drawing, print-making and textiles. A gentle palette, sensitive brush and knife passages create images that speak of time and place. Barbara also works with many students of oil-painting in the Mississauga area and considers her own education to be a life journey.
